The Broker — The Short Version
TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
